This page is designed to guide
civil society organizations on how to participate in the activities of the
Organization of American States. Please direct any questions to summitcso@oas.org.
There are three ways that civil
society organizations can participate in the activities of the OAS. First,
a civil society organization can register to the OAS, as outlined in
Permanent
Council Resolution 759. Second,
if a civil society organization would like to participate without
registering, they can attend meetings of the General Assembly, the
Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI), and other specific
Conferences of the OAS. Third, a civil society organization can also enter
into cooperation agreements with the General Secretariat or other OAS
organs.
